Leslie Dunn, author

I'm a Baby Boomer and not taking this aging thing very well. Haven't figured out if the resistance is cultural or personal. I was blessed with two children, Brian and Moriah, but sad to say one of my blessings is in heaven. Moriah, whom I named long before the 'Carey', was born with metageria, a premature aging disease. Moriah lived to the age of twenty. The long process that led to Moriah's diagnosis eventually became an article in Redbook Magazine's 'Young Mother' series. For any parents who found my site through a keyword search for progeria or metageria, please email me at fun_guidebook @ yahoo.com - I'd love to hear from you.

Other things I'm into...

Quixtar - I started an account because I fell in love with their shampoo and conditioner. It's a girl thing, nuff said.  I'd love fulfilling an order for you, too.

LITERARY AGENTS, WELCOME!

Been writing since my years of teenage angst and I'm sure my mother could produce some embarrassing evidence of it. And my first boyfriends.  Such is the life of an author, scattered half-baked pieces like Davinci's anatomical sketches.

With bylines in magazines and newspapers, and fourteen years in Radiology, coding and computer support, no matter what else I choose to do in my life, I will always be an author. Like any author I dream of publishing a break-out novel, and that novel becoming a movie.

Still with me? [tap, tap...Is this thing on?]

Recently I switched from nonfiction to fiction. Writing LAST LETTER SPELLS GOD, the first of a horror trilogy, and FOUR LIVES IN ONE, a historical fiction about Rudolph Virchow, is like moving to another country but, flexible author that I am, I'll learn the culture.

Finally, my chance to promote something other than myself...

I support Hospice and hope you do, too. They turn no one away for lack of payment and gift the dying with dignity and pain management. They depend on Hospice-trained volunteers but if you can't volunteer, send your local Hospice a check, donate to a Hospice thrift store or remember them in your prayers. On behalf of Hospice, thank you.
